Douglas Pearson was born in England and moved to the US in 1989 to earn a Ph.D in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Michigan. He has been living in Seattle since 1996 with his wife and daughter. Doug co-founded FlowPlay, an online games company in 2007. He is the company’s CTO, and is responsible for every piece of technology they build. With his business partner, he built and grew a company where almost nobody leaves--most of their employees have worked with them for more than ten years. In his role with Coltura, Doug is interested in exploring new data-driven approaches to persuade people to move on from the gasoline-powered life.
