Coltura Board Vice President
Based in the Washington, D.C., area, Ankur Goel has been a Coltura board member since 2024. He brings deep experience in law, regulatory policy, nonprofit governance, and civic leadership to Coltura’s efforts to accelerate the transition away from gasoline. Ankur is an adjunct professor at University of Maryland Francis Carey School of Law and a ClimateBase fellow. He was previously a partner at the international law firm McDermott Will & Emery, where he first assisted Coltura as pro bono counsel. Before private practice, Ankur was counsel to the United States Senate Judiciary Committee under then-chairman Joseph R. Biden, Jr. He has also served on the D.C. Bar Board of Governors and has been involved in civic and nonprofit leadership through several organizations, including Asian Americans Advancing Justice. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
