Yet some of these same cities are stuck in their old polluting ways, buying gasoline-powered vehicles for their fleets that will still be spewing carbon dioxide and air pollution after 2030. Cities must lead and model the transition from fossil fuels. Electrifying public vehicles is a top priority. Cities can electrify the vast majority of their vehicles, and save money in the process.
