Emily has been working at the intersection of leadership, strategic communications, and organizational development and for the past two decades. She previously led the research practice of an executive search firm, where she worked hand-in-hand with boards and executives to recruit leaders for global change making organizations. Some of her clients included Greenpeace, Amnesty International and the Hewlett Foundation. She has also led communications campaigns for the United Nations, where she made a point of condensing complicated topics into accessible and compelling narratives. She has developed organizational cultures that center diversity and inclusion, and built teams bound by their shared purpose at work. She holds a B.A. from the University of Redlands in International Development, and an M.S. in Strategic Communications from Columbia University. She lives in Seattle, Washington with her family.
