Adam Stern is a California-based environmental and climate leader with more than 25 years of experience in nonprofits, business, and government. He currently is executive director of Offshore Wind California, a nonprofit trade group focused on developing offshore wind as part of California's clean energy future. Previously, Adam was executive director of Acterra, a San Francisco Bay Area climate advocacy organization. In earlier positions, he served as climate program manager for the San Francisco Department of the Environment, vice president for policy and strategy at TerraPass, deputy director for the Environmental Defense Fund, and special assistant for international affairs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Adam is a graduate of Yale University (B.A. in history) and Stanford University (MBA).
